Happy Halloween!

What a great day a little bit chilly but not so bad. My dd decided to be a Fairy Princess this year. I love seeing Halloween through her eyes. She was so excited and she and her friends finally made it to this house that has every inch of the yard and house decorated for Halloween. They've been asking for three years but it's kind of a far walk for them. They were so proud of themselves that they finally made it. They all shout you can't stop 7 year olds when I took this picture. Well I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween thanks for stopping by.

Some Cute Projects

Well while I was blog hopping this morning I came across I new blog that I put in my must read. It's Fun Paper Candy this girl is amazing and her work is sooooo cute. I just love how she writes, it's fun and right to the point. I just love finding new blogs to read. Here are a few projects that I found on her blog that I can't wait to try.

Isn't this the cutest idea you've seen in a while. It's a Christmas planner. It has a calendar, a list for cards sent, a gift list. It has some pockets to keep recipes too. You can find this project on FunPaperCandy.blogspot.com.

I also found this great project on her website too. I can't wait to try this one and fill it with note cards and give it as gifts. You can go to FunPaper Candy's blog to find out how to get the instructions or go to http://arcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/09/one-drawer-card-organizer-online.html where you can download the instructions. I really think both of these are so adorable and I can't wait to get started on them. If you haven't seen Fun Paper Candy's blog you really need to pop over there. She is very talented and has so many great ideas.

I also been working in the craft room the last few nights. Just playing around with the new stamps that came in and working on some more Christmas cards. I have to find some time to take some pictures of my creations and then I will post them. Well until next time thanks for stopping by.

Stamp, Stamp, STAMPS

They're here!!! The last few weeks I have ordered a few stamps from a couple of my favorite Internet stores and they are coming in. Yesterday when I went to my mail box I was so excited that my Anya and Ian stamps came in from Roses on Paper's store. I've been seeing these characters all over the Internet lately and I couldn't resist them. I just got turned onto this Roses on Paper store and I am so glad I did the stamps over there are so adorable it was hard to choice what to buy. Also I had placed a couple of pre-orders for the new Magnolia Tilda Christmas stamps and can't wait for them to come in next month. A while back I got my two Gillian F. Roberts stamps in from 7kidscollegefund store and I have been playing with them. They are sooooo cute. I only managed to color in these images and haven't created a card for them yet. I haven't been feeling so well and yesterday I think I came down with a bug so I'm hoping I feel a little bit more energy tonight and hopefully I will get in my craft room and create some cards and play with my new stamps. Until next time thanks for stopping by!

As promised

Quick post - As promised here is a picture of the card my daughter made last night. Didn't she do a wonderful job. I love the colors that she picked. I had to help her with the ribbons otherwise she did everything herself. Below this post you will see some of the cards I have been working on. Until next time thanks for stopping by!

My little helper

Last night I was back in my craft room working on the project that I posted about yesterday when my dd came in and saw what I was doing. She asked me if she could make one too. I told her honey I think this one is little bit hard to do and she told me then let me do my version of it so what if it doesn't turn out like yours it's art mom. I didn't get a picture of it yet but it turned out so cute I will have to post it later.

I just love when she comes into the craft room. She is so funny she has all these sounds that she makes when she is stamping and gluing things together. You would swear there is an alien in the room with us. I just love her perspective on things she is always positive even when she makes mistakes. Take for instance last night she wasn't paying attention when she was stamping something and her comment about her mistake was, "Well I didn't see that one coming, guess I have to make a left turn". I laughed so hard when I heard that.
Well I will be back later tonight to post some of our projects until then THANKs for stopping by.

Ohhh I want to make one of these

I was just browsing around my usually blogs the other day. When BAM I saw this and I knew right away I wanted to make one of these for my mom for Christmas. I found this great project on Creative Critters which is Tammy Skinner's blog. I think she also posted it on Christmas with Cricut blog. I am so excited about this project. I already went and picked up my file folders, now I am just sorting through some pictures to find the perfect ones for this project. I can't wait to get started on this project it should be a really fun one to do. I am even going to break out my Noel Cricut cartridge for this project. I don't think I will be posting my results as my mother sometimes visits my blog but who knows maybe after I start playing around I will make a couple of these (will see). Well until next time - HAPPY FRIDAY!!

A Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Needless to say we had one excited little girl last night. My dd lost a tooth at school yesterday. On the walk home from school she was full of questions, What does the tooth fairy do with my teeth, Why does she come when I'm a sleep, Should I clean my tooth before putting under my pillow. My head was spinning trying to keep up with all the questions -so I suggest she write the tooth fairy a letter. My dd was on pins and needles all through dinner, she even had a hard time concentrating while doing her homework. This nervous or maybe I should say curious energy lasted all the way up to 1 a.m in the morning. She kept making excuses why she had to get out of bed. So I had to finally say to her if you want the tooth fairy to come you need to be asleep. So finally at 1:30 am my daughter was fast asleep. (you're probably wonder how I know because I had to stay up to make sure she was asleep) Finally at 2 a.m. I was convince she was a sleep and I went to bed myself only to be awoken at 4:45 a.m. by my dd jumping up and down saying she took my tooth and left me money and a letter. She was so excited about the letter that I think she left the money under her pillow. In the note from the tooth fairy she said I don't have time to answer all your questions but I know you want to know what I do with your tooth and then she went on to explain what the tooth fairies do with the collected teeth. My dd was so happy that she got at least one of her many, many many questions answered. Here's a picture of her with the letter from the tooth fairy can't wait to scrap this one! Hopefully once dd is in school mommy can get in an hour nap today. SOOOOO tired!

Halloween Card

Well I hope everyone enjoyed World Card Making Day. I was able to get one card done on October 3rd. I revamped a card I made early and I have to say I like how this one turned out better. Today I am planning to take a visit to my local Achievers store. Need some adhesive, boy do I go through that stuff fast. Also, I am hoping to find some time to get in my craft room to start my 10 ATC (Artist Trading Cards) for the Hero Arts first ATCs trade. Until then Happy Monday!!!!

Used my first Digi Kit for the ATC Challenge

This is a first for me all around! I never made a ATC (Artist Trading Card) before and I never used a digital kit. This is Hero Arts Digital kits Spooky and Halloween Sayings. Believe it or not this took me longer to do than if I got out my own paper and scissors, but I must admit I think I'm addicted to digi kits. I really can see how you can incorporate both digi kits and stamping which give us more chances to be creative.

This week's challenge is to make a ATC (Artist Trading Card). I never heard of this before so I'm excited to join in the fun. I will come back later and post my creation later.

As promised here are a few things I worked on in my craft room yesterday. I was able to get a few Halloween cards finished. I just love the little girl dressed up as a cat stamp. My dd was invited to two parties this weekend here is one of the bags and cards set that I made for her. I was so productive that I even managed to get a few Christmas cards done too. (but I'm not posting them just yet). I am still struggling to find the perfect stamp for my Thanksgiving cards. I've been to Michael's, Archivers, Joann's, and Hobby Lobby I guess it's time to turn to the Internet to find it. Well have a great weekend and HAPPY CRAFTING!

Final done with Binder

Thought I would share with you my binder.  I have seperated the stamps out by company or holiday. I also have several sections with things about my Cricut (I have the Cricut Cheat Sheet, Cricut inventory sheet, blade settings etc...).  Then last but not least I have a section for my Copic Markers chart.  Most of these charts I have gotten off the internet.  If you are interest in the links leave me a comment I will send them to you.  I decided to take out the stuff I had for my Silhouette die cutter since it's already on the computer why have doubles.  Now my next big plan is to put together a cart that I got from Michael the other day and put away all my stamps.   I even might take a spin by Ikea.  Once the craft room is put back together I will post some pics, until then Happy Crafting!!!

What a fun night Stampin

Wow what a great night last night.  I have finally been introduce to Stampin-up stamps.  Once a month a group of girls get together for a card making class with a local Stampin-up represenative and I was asked to join their group.  They seemed like such a fun group and I can't wait to see what they have in store for me for next month's get together.   I've seen these stamps around and always appreciated them and now I finally get the chance to get my hands on them.  I made two cards at last nights meeting and I will post them later.

Just wanted to share this with you

As I was reorganizing my craft room this week I have come across this wonderful Idea by Linda Scott.  I must be last Cricut owner out there to find out about Linda's gem of an idea.  So, you're saying, "What the great idea Carrie?"  Well this wonderful lady came up with these Cricut Cheat Sheets.  They are so useful.  She list every cartridge that Provo Craft has sold and everything that appears on each cartridge.  You will never have to go and look through all your boxes to find a character.  All you have to do is look at here cheat sheet and she tell you what cartridge the character is on.  (For instance say you want a butterfly well, you go to her list and look up butterfly, then she list every cartridge that has a butterfly on it)  Isn't that just the greatest idea!   I bet she had to put a lot of hours on this.  If you are interested in checking out this gem of an idea all you have to do is go over to Yahoo groups.  Type in Cricut Cheat Sheet and you will find her group.  The group is open to anyone.  Once you have joined her group look into the file section on the left hand side and you will find her master sheet of Cricut Cheat Sheets.  She also updates these files and puts all the new cartridges on it.  (No work required by you except for pushing the print button, LOVE IT).  As soon as I get my Crafting Bible completed I will post pictures of it so until then HAPPY CRAFTING PEOPLE!
